Leadership
LaVon Pettis
LaVon grew up in Ft. Walton Beach, FL where he graduated from Choctawhatchee High School. After graduating, he worked in marketing and sales for a number of years. In 1986, he married his wife Brenda and not long afterward, accepted the call into ministry. Having served in many different areas of ministry, LaVon accepted the position of Senior Pastor of Evangel Worship Center in July of 1999. LaVon has guided Evangel through many changes over the years and has a passion to see the church impact the community. LaVon and Brenda have two daughters, Lauren and Chelsey.Location & Directions

I absolutely love this church!!! I don't have such a pretty past and they have accepted me with open arms! I love the Celebrate Recovery program on Friday night! From working the Steps and being apart of this church, I am niot who I used to be... They have loved me until I loved myself! I love the music, the people, it is amazing!!!
