What to Expect

What are services like?
In our Sunday worship, we nurture our faith by celebrating Holy Communion every week. We engage our minds through reading Holy Scripture and hearing a thought-provoking sermon. We engage our senses through music that touches the mind and the heart, in the rich, diverse Anglican and American musical traditions. 8:00 Rite I Eucharist - very traditional Elizabethan language, organ, piano, and hymns 9:30 Rite II Eucharist - traditional service with modern language, choir, organ, piano, Anglican traditional music and hymns, with some chanting 11:30 Jazz/Gospel Eucharist - less formal Eucharist, lively Jazz and Gospel choir and instrumental music

What is the community like?
Warm and inviting - friendly and welcoming. You will be amazed at how warmly you are greeted and welcomed! We are dedicated to service to our neighbors (near and far), with a number of service and social justice ministries, including mission trips. We have very strong children's, youth, and adult Christian education programs, and are delighted to teach and learn from newcomers. We have a sense of humor and enjoy each other's company. We worship God and appreciate the depth and beauty of the ancient liturgy. We feel God's presence in our worship and in our community.

What if I'm not a Christian?
All are welcome. Come and experience the community at Nativity. Your questions are welcome, and we'll help you discover answers through worship, education, and service. Everyone moves at her or his own pace through the journey of faith, and we'll walk with you in yours.
