Episcopal Church of the Nativity

Who We Are

We Episcopalians believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. For over 135 years, this Christian community has helped support each other in times of both joy and sorrow. Whether gathering for worship on Sunday morning, for a baptism, a marriage, or a funeral, our life together is rooted in common prayer and in the hope we have because of Jesus Christ.

Peter Gray

The Rev’d Peter Gray has served at Nativity since 2013. A native of Oxford, Mississippi, he graduated from Millsaps College in 2004, received a Master of Theological Studies from Vanderbilt Divinity School in 2006, and a Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary in 2008. He and his wife, Giulianna, also a priest, began their ordained ministry in New Orleans in 2008, where he served first as an Spanish-language missioner with St. Anna’s and Grace Episcopal Churches and then as Associate Rector at Trinity Episcopal Church. Giulianna currently serves as Rector of St. Stephen’s, Indianola. Together, they have two children, Joseph and Francesca. In his free time, Peter reads, gardens, and chases children.
