About Us

Joyously sharing God's unconditional love!

We are diverse -- young and old, tall and short, able and not so able bodied.
We are black, white, Native American and open to more diversity.
We are straight, gay, bi-sexual and transgendered.
Our diversity challenges us to appreciate the different gifts we each bring.

We receive newcomers from all faith traditions.
We read the Bible seriously but not literally.
We are inspired by the prophets and guided by the teachings of Jesus
We bring our questions and listen for how God is speaking to us.
We encourage one another to grow -- spiritually, intellectually, emotionally.

We are looking for companions who put their faith to work for the common good.
As a "Just Peace" church - advocating for justice and marching for peace.
As a "Whole Earth" church - challenging one another to care for creation.
We work in compassion to respond to poverty in our community.

Curious? Come for a visit -- Epiphany UCC may be the church you are looking for!

What to Expect

What are services like?
First of all, expect to be welcomed! We have visitors almost every Sunday and we appreciate the blessing that each one brings to worship. We often open worship with a few contemporary or praise songs and greet one another with a sign of peace. We include a time with the young and young at heart which is often playful. We are blessed with several gifted pastors who take turns bringing a message based on a scripture lesson. We love to sing, and we take time each Sunday to share opportunities to get involved in the week ahead. We share a potluck meal on the second Sunday of each month. Nursery care is available for preschoolers during Sunday School (9:15) as well as during worship (10:30). We have adult, teen and elementary classes which are well attended.

What is the community like?
Epiphany UCC takes hospitality seriously and joyfully. We hope to make newcomers feel at home and welcome. At Epiphany it is okay to be honest about who you are, sharing your joys as well as any struggles. Our members come from many walks of life, yet we find a way to be companions on a common journey in Christ. Oh, and we like to sing a lot.

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you feel led to come and participate in our worship and ministries, you are welcome. We receive with joy ecumenical and interfaith members who want to participate who also want to retain a commitment to another faith tradition.
