What to Expect

What are services like?
We celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion at each of our services. We are liturgical in our worship practice, with a relaxed and informal feel. Our sanctuary is bright and intimate.

What is the community like?
We are a mix of people from all walks, united by our love of Jesus. We are located just outside the Walker Gate of Fort Belvoir, and many of our families are military personnel, or have military ties.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Well, neither was Jesus....we extend a warm welcome to all, in Jesus' name.

Charles Oberkehr

The Rev. Dr. Charles Oberkehr is the pastor of Epiphany Lutheran Church of Mount Vernon. He is an award winning poet, writer, and the founder of Life Bridge Services, providing services to military veterans and families.
