Pastor David Reynolds came to Christ in 1988, while a student at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX (then known as Southwest Texas State). About 6 months later, David started playing guitar in a Christian band. Not long after, he met his wife-to-be, Heather. Together, they started another band, and did concerts in Austin and around Texas for several years. Their heart was to share Christ through the songs they had written, and the testimony of what God had done in their lives. At the end of 1996, while still pursuing a career in Christian music, David’s pastor asked him to lead worship at Calvary Austin. In November of 2001, David went on staff full-time as Worship Pastor and Financial Administrator. During the 5 years he spent on staff, he oversaw multiple worship bands, produced and recorded Calvary Austin’s first worship recording, “I Will”, hosted an annual regional worship conference, made several local television appearances with his worship band, served on the Calvary Chapel Outreach Fellowship Worship Advisory Board, and led worship and taught workshops at regional and national worship conferences. In August of 2006, David and Heather learned of the need for a pastor at Calvary Chapel Aggieland in Bryan/College Station. They quickly sensed that God was leading them in that direction. God began to open the way for their family to move to the College Station area, and in November of 2006, David became the senior pastor. After several years of using temporary locations for services, Calvary Chapel Aggieland found a new home at 903-B Harvey Road in College Station. They also began to go by a new name - Engage Calvary. David Reynolds received a M.A. in Biblical Studies from Calvary Chapel University in 2018 and is an Adjunct Professor at Calvary Chapel University, teaching undergrad courses in Biblical Leadership. He has a passion to equip believers to serve, to raise up leaders to lead, and to encourage everyone to find freedom in Christ by living in the fullness of the Spirit.
