Similar churches often offer music styles like traditional hymns, praise and worship, and jazz.
Programs like youth group, choir, adult education, children's ministry, and missions are also typical.
What are services like?
While our worship service lean toward the traditional and use a printed order of wroship, the flow of the service is easy to follow. There are some of us who still "dress" for Sundays, but casual attire is worn by many of our attendees, members and visitors.
What is the community like?
Our members and attendees are drawn from across our community and reflects the socio-economic nature of the community. We welcome people of diverse backgrounds, requesting only that those who choose to make our church their church be willing to accept those who are already a part of the fellowship.
We support the right and responsibility of each individual to read and interpret Scripture for themselves, and we encourange all who attend to benefit from the opportunities of group Bible study and exploration of what it means to be a follower of Christ.
What if I'm not a Christian?
Persons who are not followers of Jesus are welcome to attend our church, both its Bible study ministry and our services of worship. While we pray and long for all persons with whom we have contact to become followers of Jesus, we take a softer approach to evangelism than some churches. We do so because of our belief that those who come to faith are drawn by the Spirit of Christ and the love of his congregation.
Michael has served as our pastor since November of 1979. His ministry is marked by attention to quality pastoral care of the church membership and persons in our community, and his preaching promotes Jesus as Lord and provides guidance for daily living.
