Who We Are

"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks." John 4:23
Mission:
Colossians 3:23-24 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
1 Peter 1:14-16 "As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy.'
James 1:21-22 "Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says."
Philippians 2:3-5 "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus..."
2 Peter 1:5-7 "Make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love."
Hebrews 12:2 "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
1 John 1:7 "If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."

The Church at 21st and Eisenhower is involved in many activities and has various interests in mission work. Support for the Church, both abroad and in the states, has always been one of the commandments observed by the Christians at the Church at 21st and Eisenhower.
This is a loving, serving, encouraging, working, and Christ-reflecting group of God's children that worship at the Lord's church at Eisenhower.
Statement of Faith: While the Lord's church does not have creeds or the right to add to or take away from God's word (Revelation 22:18-19), being a faithful servant of God requires an awareness of God and His Word that should not be assumed but, rather, openly discussed. God is the one, true God (Deuteronomy 4:35). He is all powerful (Matthew 28:18), all knowing (Revelation 2:23) and all loving (1 John 4:8). God is made up of three persons in one, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17). The Father sent his Son to die on the cross and was resurrected on the third day bringing salvation to man (John 3:16). Jesus has left us his Word to carry on his work, given divinely to the apostles (John 16:13), recorded by inspired writers (2 Peter 1:20-21), copied by Christians and churches (Colossians 4:16) and preserved through the centuries providentially in what we call the Bible. God's Word is His breath and life translated into the human language (2 Timothy 3:16). God's Word is truth (John 17:17). The Bible, as it was originally recorded, copied and correctly translated, is without error (2 Peter 1:20-21). It is powerful, able to change our lives and save our souls (Romans 1:16). God's word provides us with all things that pertain unto life and Godliness (2 Peter 1:3). God has entrusted this Word to us (2 Corinthians 4:3-7) and we are stewards over it with the responsibility of interpreting, applying and living it correctly (2 Timothy 2:15) and with the responsibility of teaching others the Word so that they may teach others also (2 Timothy 2:2).
"But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions -- it is by grace you have been saved." -- Ephesians 2:4-5
