Tremayne Bowman, Sr.
Rev. Tremayne R. Bowman, Sr. is a native of Greenwood, SC. He is the son of Ms. Tammy D. Minyard and the late Steven A. Bowman. Raised, baptized and converted as a teenager at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, in Greenwood, SC, he was destined for ministry from a young man. He answered the call to preach in 2008 and was ordained in the African Methodist Episcopal Church as Itinerant Deacon on September 27, 2013.
Rev. Bowman served as the Pastor of New Life A.M.E. Ministries in Summerville, SC from September 28, 2013 until his appointment at Ebenezer on September 27, 2014. Before receiving his first pastoral charge at New Life, he was a member of the ministerial staff at Grace Metropolitan at Adam’s AME Church, where he served diligently under the great Reverend Dr. Eduardo K. Curry.
An anointed preacher and teacher, he draws on his failures and shortcomings to deliver God’s Word. Rev. Bowman embraces technology to illustrate teachings with real life application. When called upon, Rev. Bowman travels throughout the State of South Carolina preaching, presenting and facilitating on such topics as Sacraments, Ordinances, Project Safe Sanctuary, Spiritual Gifts, Youth and other Christian topics. He is committed to winning souls for Christ so that families are healed and another generation begins to rise up!
Rev. Bowman received his Bachelor’s degree from Charleston Southern University, where he completed studies in Youth Ministry and Psychology and is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity Degree, with a focus of Youth Ministry at Columbia International University. He is a member of the Moncks Corner chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. And he is employed with the James Island Charter High School, where he serves as a Student Concerns Specialist.
Rev. Bowman is married to his partner in the ministry, Lady Tyla Bowman, a native of James Island, SC and graduate of the Charleston School of Law. They reside in Ladson, SC with their four children: Alonzo (15), Zaire (11) and 3 years old twins, Tremayne Jr. and Tyanna Naomi.
A visionary and shepherd, Rev. Bowman encourages the hopeless with messages that are inspirational, timely and relevant. He has accomplished many achievements, but none compare to his readiness to be a servant in the ministry God has called him for in such a time as this.
