About Us

Love God, Build Relationships, Make A Difference, God is Relevant.

As followers of Jesus we are all about 4 key things at Eastside:

1. Loving God and loving one another as our Father loves us.
2. Building strong relationships with believers and non-believers alike.
3. Making a difference in peoples’ lives in a real and meaningful way.
4. Communicating spiritual truth with cultural relevance.

We believe that we are called to follow in the footsteps and direction set for us by our Savior, Jesus Christ. (1 John 2:6)

We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. Infallible. Inerrant. God-Breathed. It serves as the final authority for us in all matters. (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe that God eternally exists in three eternal persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

We believe that Jesus became man without ceasing to be God and that He died on a cross for our redemption. (1 Peter 2:21-25)

We believe that the Holy Spirit resides within us serving as our counselor, teacher, comforter, power and truth. Through the Holy Spirit the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control are built into our lives. (Galatians 5:22-23)

We believe that salvation is offered freely to all through Jesus Christ, whose blood was shed on our behalf and made sure by His resurrection from the dead. (1 Peter 1:18–19)

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in Jesus Christ, whose blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. We are saved by the atoning Blood of Jesus Christ when we repent of our sins, accept His forgiveness, and begin a personal relationship with Him. Baptism declares a public confession of an inward profession of faith. The act of baptism symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a simple act of obedience to the Lord when we follow through and commit ourselves to do it for Him. It has a symbolic connotation of cleansing, dying to the old life, and allegiance to the new life with a new Master. (Ephesians 2:8–10; John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:18–19; Acts 10:48; Rom 6:3; 1 Cor 12:13; Gal 3:27; Acts 2:38-41). Repentance of sin and faith in Jesus are the marks of a Christian. And all Christians are commanded to be baptized in order to identify themselves with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Only someone who has truly accepted Christ into their heart should be baptized.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Most services have a time where worship music is performed by a band and the congregation joins in the singing. There will always be a teaching from the Bible. And Communion is offered. The order of events is not rigid and sometimes changes based on the theme or specific need of the day. You can come dressed in your "Sunday Best," or in shorts, t-shirt and sandals. It is up to you. Most choose to be casual. Be prepared to have fun and learn something new. VIdeos of weekly teachings can be seen here: http://www.eastsideonline.cc/messages/

What is the community like?
Eastside is made up of young adults, singles, families with young kids, families with older kids, grandparents & more. To put it more simply, Eastside Christian Church welcomes anyone who wants to be a Christ-follower (or learn more about what that means).

What if I'm not a Christian?
We were all non-Christians at some point in our lives. It wasn't until someone else showed us what it meant to be a Christ-follower that we made the decision to be one too. EVERYONE who is spiritually-curious and desires to learn what it means to be a Christ-follower is welcome at Eastside Christian Church. Come see for yourself!
