Divine Restoration Ministries
Who We Are
Divine Restoration Ministries was founded with you in Mind!
It was in 1998 that God decided to use a man, Pastor J. Richard Evans, Sr. to bring restoration to the brokenhearted. After years of hurting inwardly because of past wounds that never seemed to completely heal, Pastor Evans was led to lead others to a place that he found restoration. This place was not a physical dwelling, but a spiritual
sanctuary where the truth would set the captives free. After being released by his pastor, Pastor Evans began a bible study in his living room. Within two weeks time there was no longer enough room to hold those that attended. This would lead to a brief stop in Eastpointe Michigan and subsequent move to the Boulevard and Gratiot in Detroit. The ministry is currently located on the city’s east side, where they are retiring the debt of their mortgage. It was in prayer that the spirit of the Lord had Pastor Evans examine himself, and the truth of his situation, which was, “the Devil” was not to blame for everything that had gone wrong in his life. It was here that the Lord revealed that if Pastor Evans would Change his mind, Change his environment, that ultimately his LIFE WOULD CHANGE. He whom the Son sets free is free indeed! Along with his childhood sweetheart, and wife of 17 years, Pastor Evans has ushered in an environment that encourages self evaluation, and a willingness to embrace change. Prophetess Evans works tirelessly to assist the women of Divine Restoration Ministries and the community, both young and old, to maximize their full potential. In addition, she is an excellent administrator and has utilized that gift in the advancement of the ministry. No greater example of commitment to God and family can be exhibited than what Prophetess and Pastor have guided those that follow them through. The victories are almost too numerous to name, however, if you should stop in on a service you’re sure to here testimony of how God saved the lives of those that lead this local body. Come…be restored!
