About Us

We are a church family that humbly seeks God’s purpose in all we do. God has placed us here on Earth at this time and place to uniquely make a difference. Each person is a vital part of the family of God, and He desires to make a lasting difference one person at a time. In fact, God aches for the restoration and healing of so many that are burdened and in pain today, calling us to reach out to others in mercy, mission, and ministry.

Mercy: Jesus gave his life on the cross because everyone needs mercy. We want to be God’s hands in reaching out to rescue others, to help everyone find shelter in God’s mercy. Mercy is received in salvation, finding forgiveness, and experiencing God’s soothing touch in our lives.

Mission: Jesus saves us on purpose, with purpose. God created each person with a specific purpose, and we want to help everyone discover their purpose and mission in life. How has God called me to serve? What are my gifts? Join us as we seek God’s answers.

Ministry: Our natural reaction to God’s mercy is our desire to serve him. As we discover our gifts and mission, we want to support and encourage each other to be God’s instruments in making a difference in the lives of others.

At any given time, people are growing through the mercy, ministry, mission cycle. In fact, we often need to grow back through the process, pausing from ministry for a time of mercy, refreshment, and refocus. As we continually seek God, together we can make a real difference, one person at a time. mercy, mission, ministry

Buddy Gray

Buddy Gray

Buddy Gray has been serving at Davis Park for over a decade, first as the Outreach Evangelist & now as the Preaching Minister. He enjoys teaching the Bible in many different settings and is thankful for the opportunity to preach the Word of God each week. Buddy’s true gifts stem from his compassionate and generous nature. Whether it’s spending time with grieving families as a local law enforcement chaplain or organizing an outreach event. Buddy has developed our own Community Response Team which serves communities in times of crisis, throughout the nation, by helping people begin the process of rebuilding their lives with Christ as the foundation. Buddy has a B.A. in Management and Marketing from Abilene Christian University (1978), but returned to school to receive his M.S. in Biblical and Related Studies (2000) from Abilene Christian University. He & Krista have been married for nearly 25 years and were blessed with the adoption of Matthew at birth about 12 years ago. Buddy enjoys spending time with his family, spending time with close friends and enjoys time at South Lake Tahoe.
