Who We Are

Crosstown is a church near downtown Oklahoma City. With the revitalization that is occurring here, the excitement and passion for this city is strong. And the need for gospel-centered, city-loving churches within the urban core is even stronger. For this reason we believe God has brought us here, and our mission is to reach and mature God’s people by proclaiming Jesus and serving the city (Col 1:28).

We are a self-governing, independent church. Our two primary affiliations are with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Acts 29 Network.

Our Services

What are services like?
Our Sunday service is currently held on the campus of Oklahoma City University, in the BCM (Baptist Collegiate Ministry) building on the corner of Kentucky and NW 23rd Street. The atmosphere is casual, where its common to see shorts, tees, and flip-flops in the Summer time. The people are friendly, expect to be welcomed by multiple people once you step into the building.

What is the community like?
It is important to distinguish between who the church is and where and when the church meets. At Crosstown we firmly believe that church is not the place we gather or an event we attend. We are the church every day of the week as we live our lives together as Missional Families. If you want to discover what Crosstown is really like, then you need to spend some time with a Missional Family. Our Families are based more or less geographically and include singles, couples, and families. Missional Families revolve around two things: Family – who we are in Christ; and Mission – what Jesus sent us to do. We are reorienting our normal, everyday lives around these two concepts. We are trying to live our ordinary lives with gospel intentionality. We eat together, play together, work through God’s Story together, serve together, and celebrate together. There is not necessarily a set time that Families gather, although we do encourage them to eat a meal together at least once a week.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We were all once a non-Christian and we are all sinners. If you are truly seeking to learn and know more about the Bible, make a few new friends, come on by on Sunday to get your feet wet, and go from there. You can also connect with one of our pastors, Ben or Clint via email. Details here
