Cobb Baptist Church has been in operation since October 11th 1892 132 years as of October 11th 2024 I have been the Pastor here for the last 4 years, and my wife Christi teaches Sunday School. We love being a part of this loving congregation, and We look forward to bringing THE WORD OF GOD Every Sunday. Though we are a small congregation, all seems to be in one accord, and everyone here loves His word, and seems to be growing. My prayer for this Church, and everyone that comes through the doors, leaves here after every service with Spiritual fullness, and a peace that surpasses all understanding, that could only come from the Spirit of truth.Location & Directions

The people at Cobb Baptist Church are genuinely friendly and very welcoming. The Pastor preaches the WORD of GOD and stays on point with his messages. Very family friendly atmosphere.

My wife and I are looking for a fundamentally sound Baptist church near our area. We know Ann and David Bates along with our next door neighbor, Patti Ballard. I am a retired police officer who was called to the ministry and ordained before I retired from Garland Police Department as the Garland Police Association Chaplain in 2013. I moved to Wills Point when my dad got since and after an hour and a half seizure. I call it my Paul on the road to Damascus story. My LORD was calling me to preach HIS Word, but I was making over $100,000/ yr and my then wife told me that we couldn’t afford for me to quit my job and surrender to the Ministry. After the Police Department paid me to be off on paid leave to get my full retirement, I surrendered to HIS calling on my life and my wife divorced me, but I pleased my LORD over man(or in this case woman), on HIS calling on my life. My wife and I are seeking a church were we can find like minded Christians and seek out the list to come to know JESUS as their personal Savior. We know the Bates family and Miss Patti is our next door neighbor and we have heard good things about the church. I was serving/ preaching as the outreach/associate Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Wills Point, but I stepped in some toes by preaching the WORD of GOD and the deacons got upset and the Pastor would not tell them the same story that he told me. I am looking for a church where I can serve my LORD JESUS without people thinking I and trying to get the glory, my life is ALL about lifting up my LORD JESUS so as to draw all men unto Himself. Please let me know if I would fit in at your church. Humbly , Bro. Ron & Lisa Chaney
