Kris, a native Californian who grew up near the beaches of Southern California, devotes her time to pursuing grace and learning all she can about what that looks like day-to-day. Kris attended Cal Poly State University, and taught PE for 13 years. She has been married to her loving husband, Ken for 38 years, and they have two amazing adult children; Brady and Bryan, and one amazing daughter-in-law Shelby. She has four Yorkies at home, and in her spare time she loves to blog (www.thegracethatshapesmylife.com), golf, play softball, assist with equine therapy, cheer the San Francisco 49ers and Giants on, and spend as much time with her family as humanly possible. She loves using her gifts for God's glory - her tech, admin and organization skills allow her to minister and tend to the needs of the church administratively, while her outgoing love for those around her and her gift of hospitality and mercy make a perfect fit for church health and growt
Originally from Southern CA, Daniel grew up pretty close to Disneyland (This means that he is a pretty avid fan of all the Southern CA sports teams, especially the Dodgers). He earned a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Philosophy from UC San Diego and a Master's degree in Theology (Th.M) from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is ordained through the Talbot Evangelical Church Association. He is the husband of the love of his life, Karen and father to 3 wonderful kids, Joshua, Caleb and Abigail. In his spare time he likes to read, play the guitar, golf and hang out with his family. He loves pastoring, hanging out with and meeting new people, traveling and trying new things. He's been to countries all over the world and has even eaten a tarantula before.
Brad is a farm boy from Michigan, went to high school in Illinois and college in St. Paul Minnesota. He is NOT a Packer fan. He has a BA in youth ministry from Bethel college where he met and married the amazing Olivia. They moved to California in a rented U-Haul in the year 2000 and haven’t been able to stay away from Sacramento since then. He studied theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL (MA) before returning to California to be ordained in 2006. There are three crazy and creative Carpenter kids: Flannery, Asher and Story. The Carpenters have lived in Sacramento for the last 5 years and were part of the core team that founded City of Grace Church which would later become part of Grace Sacramento. Brad loves live theater, running, home renovation and wrestling with his kids. For pleasure he reads Flannery O’Connor, Wendell Berry, Gary D. Schmidt and young adult fiction. Brad and Olivia love Netflix, ice cream and improv comedy.
