The Church of the Redeemer

Who We Are

Biblical, Liturgical, Charismatic

We are a mission of the Reformed Episcopal Church/Anglican Church in North America. Our worship is liturgical, with Communion every Sunday, and also gently charismatic. Most importantly for a visitor, we are a loving church where you will not be made to feel either unwelcomed or awkward.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our services follow the liturgy in The Book of Common Prayer punctuated with times of free prayer and even free song. The overall feel is reverent, but not stiff and inflexible. We are open to the charismatic gifts, but are not emotionalistic (or usually even very loud).

What is the community like?
We are mostly young and young-ish adults, but we'd really like some older folks to come balance things out. We're a small church plant. Not a lot of programs and classes yet. We do have accommodations to care for young children, including a lesson for kids under six during the sermon, and we believe families should worship together and receive Communion together.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Come on in! Sing with us, pray with us, be present with us as we receive Communion, receive God's blessing with us. We won't single you out or try to drag you to the front of the church.

Leadership

Paul Edgerton

Fr. Paul Edgerton is the founding pastor of our church. He is married to Christie and the father of Isaac and Elizabeth. He is bi-vocational, teaching English at Hunt High School. Fr. Paul spent ten years in ordained ministry within the Pentecostal tradition before his re-ordination as a priest in 2008. Fr. Paul is known for his unusual sense of humor, his love for the Lord and his congregation, and a ministry of healing prayer and deliverance.
