Who We Are

The Episcopal Church of Our Saviour was organized by the Diocese of Florida in 1880. A bible study group under the leadership of Professor Calvin E. Stowe and his wife, Harriet Beecher Stowe, formed the foundation of Our Saviour.
The church has maintained its pastoral beauty and historical charm. In its magnificent setting on the banks of the beautiful St. John’s River, the Church of Our Saviour is truly a place of beauty dedicated to the Glory of God and His worship.

Our Services

What are services like?
Our 8:00 am Sunday service with Eucharist., is a traditional service with music . Using the old language of the Book of Common Prayer this is a beautiful service with rich language. 10:30 am service with Eucharist relies on the modern service in the Book of Common prayer. The choir enhances the worship experience. There is a separate breaking open the Word called Kid's Word for children ages 4- 11. Children return for Holy Communion. Nursery is available. 7:00 pm service is Rite II Eucharist with a contemplative aspect. It is a quiet service with music in our beautiful chapel. 8:00 am Riverbank Services are held outside on the lawn in the early fall and in the Spring following Easter. Check our calendar to see when Riverbank services are scheduled. Beautiful setting to worship overlooking the St. Johns River.
