Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at the corner of 11th Street and 4th Avenue in Beaver Falls, PA, is an urban church in a small city. We are committed to serving the poor of our community as we proclaim the love of God through Jesus Christ in word and deed. Each Monday afternoon at 4 p.m. "Christ's Kitchen" serves a free meal to all in need of food and companionship. "Crossroads Men's Shelter" is located in our basement. It is open 365 nights a year from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. Admission is from 7 - 9 p.m. Use the 4th Avenue entrance for both the soup kitchen and the shelter.

We worship every Sunday morning at 10 a.m., using a traditional sung liturgy. On Monday afternoons at 5 p.m. a praise service is offered. Small groups meet monthly in one another's homes to deepen our friendship and faith.

What to Expect

What are services like?
40 people on Sunday, organ, liturgical, Holy Communion every week. Monday services range from 5 - 15 and use simple choruses and "old timey" hymns. There is a reading of the Word, a short, interactive sermon, and time for prayer. Holy Communion approximately once a month.

What is the community like?
We range in age from 2 - 93. There are a lot of people in their 40's and 50's, some in their 30s, a lot in their 70's and a few elderly. The congregation is committed in its ministry to the neighborhood. The pastor is progressive.

What if I'm not a Christian?
That's ok. Come and be with us. Ask questions (or not). Join us in our service to the neighborhood. We won't try to convert you, but we find meaning in our relationship with God through Jesus, and believe it's a good way to live.
