What are services like?
WHAT WILL I FIND AT CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP OF EL CAJON? Christians that have made the commitment to follow Christ and walk in the light of God's word in love. A casual and comfortable atmosphere filled with brothers and sisters who enjoy meeting new people and love children. The worship is a blend of traditional, contemporary and spirit filled music that honors God and rejoices in freedom from sin. The truth is spoken here by brothers that have picked up their crosses and are following Christ, there may be two or more that will speak at each service.Our youth ministry is focused on introducing our children to the bible and preparing them to enter the congregation when they are ready.

What is the community like?
Christian Fellowship of El Cajon is an Evangelical Church that has its foundation in the New Testament, and believes in the Bible as God's word. Outside of this foundation we have no doctrine, co conditions or requirements and no partiality in our treatment of persons. Faith in Jesus as God's Son, and faith in the Holy Spirit, the forgiveness of sins, baptism, and the Lord's Supper are the fundamental elements of our faith. We place great importance on living our life in accordance to God's word and using the Bible as a guideline for our life and doctrine. We believe in the Almighty God, in his Son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, that he was born of the Virgin Mary, and that he rose from the dead on the third day as it says in the Bible. Our belief that Jesus was tempted in all points just as we are, yet without sin, is a central theme in our teachings. That is why Jesus' life, temptations, battles, and triumphs are of great interest and value to us.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We believe that all people can receive the forgiveness of sins and eternal life, without having a single good deed to show for themselves, when they believe in Jesus and that he died for us on the cross. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God."Eph.2:8. The forgiveness of sins is not the ultimate goal for a Christian; rather, it is the beginning of a new life. When we repent from our sins and come to faith in God's word, we are "born" into a new life with new interests and a desire to do God's will. With God's help it is possible to be Jesus' disciple and follower.
