Christ United Methodist Church has been in Lehigh Acres for over 50 years. We have a congregation that has come from the corners of the world. Our vision is to invite all people to follow Jesus Christ, build them up into his body and image, and send them out to serve others.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Saturday Praise Service is in our fellowship hall with a praise band. Seating is around tables where you are invited to bring your cup of coffee and snack from the refreshment area. Dress is casual. Sunday morning traditional service is in the sanctuary. Casual dress to business suits and ladies with hats can be expected. Sunday afternoon Iglesia - Spanish service is full of praise. It is held in the fellowship hall.

What is the community like?
Lehigh Acres is a mix of many cultures. It is an affordable community so many young families move to the area. The average age is 35. There are some businesses locally but most people commute into Fort Myers or other towns for work.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are welcome to join us and experience a friendly, warm and caring community. We hope that you will eventually accept Christ as your personal savior but until then you are welcome to ask questions and to attend Bible studies or Life Tree Cafe where current topics are discussed.

Lia Willetts

Rev. Lia Icaza Willetts is a clergy in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church and served in churches for the last 24 years. Rev. Willetts serves the pastor of Christ United Methodist Church in Lehigh Acres. Pastor Lia brings her expertise as spiritual leader and educator, teaching in settings that included: United Methodist Women’s Schools of Christian Mission, district, conferences and national events. Pastor Lia is committed to making disciples of all nations for the transformation of the world. She is a dynamic and biblical preacher and teacher equipped to lead workshops, seminars and presentations such as The Faith Sharing Congregation, Evangelism and Spirituality, Parents as Spiritual guides, The Joy of Spiritual Disciplines, Prayer as a Healing Ministry, Walking with God in Daily Life, Companions in Christ, Developing a Heart for God, for people and for Missions, Men and Women in Tune with God, Discovering and claiming your spiritual gifts. Pastor Lia has been married for 26 years to Rev. Tom Willetts pastor of Good Shepherd United Methodist in North Ft. Myers.
