Nate Wilson

Pastor Nate grew up as a preacher's kid at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama, attended Briarwood Christian Schools, and later, Covenant College, where he studied pre-engineering, music, and missions, and where he met and married Paula. Nate & Paula became campus ministers with the Student Foreign Mission Fellowship, then became university and church mobilization specialists with Caleb Project in Littleton, Colorado, helping student ministries and churches nationwide develop vision and strategies for church planting among unreached ethnic groups around the world. A desire to become a church pastor developed over time, and Nate earned a M.Div. from Sangre de Cristo Seminary, but it wasn't until after another brief stint as development director for a church-based micro-economic development mission (The TentMaker Project) that a core group in Manhattan, Kansas contacted Nate, asking him to be their organizing pastor. Nate & Paula have raised 12 children and are enjoying writing Bible commentaries, playing Celtic music, cooking soul food, assisting in the births of grandbabies, teaching classes on everything from childbirth to parenting to worship guitar to Biblical Hebrew, and making disciples.
