Our Services

What are services like?
We are a laid back congregation. Our traditional service is an accessible way to be part of a historic form of worship. Later in the morning, our 9:30 & 11:00 services are very energetic and upbeat.

What is the community like?
We focus on being the Body of Christ. This is a very relational community and we try and be the presence of Jesus in the community by reaching out to those in need.

What if I'm not a Christian?
This is a safe place to ask questions and find out who Jesus is.

Joe Campeau

Pastor Joe has been at Christ Lutheran Church since 1995. He graduated from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN and Luther-Northwestern Seminary in St. Paul, MN. He has served congregations in Billings, MT and Longview, WA, where he specialized in Youth Ministry. He has also served congregations in Irvine, CA. and Plymouth, MA before coming to Santa Clarita. Pastor Joe's passion is to see people of all ages grow deeper in their faith and follow Jesus boldly. In fact, he believes that following Jesus is the greatest adventure of all. Pastor Joe adores his wife, Barbie, and is very proud of his three grown children. He thinks the staff he works with is awesome (though he likes to torment Pastor Mike), and the congregation he is privileged to serve is amazing. He enjoys cycling, photography, reading and writing, and junk food. He does not like vegetables or when food touches other food on his plate. He loves to travel, especially if it means long hours on the open road behind a steering wheel. He also thinks motor scooters rule. He is the author of Ordinary Joy: Finding Fresh Promise in Routine Moments (Augsburg, 2005)
