Christ First UMC is a Christ-centered, welcoming church where everyone belongs no matter where they are on their journey. We open our doors and hearts to people of all ages, abilities, identities, and life experiences. Anyone seeking hope, healing, or connection is welcome at Christ First UMC. You don’t have to have it all together to come to church. You are loved as you are, invited to grow in faith at your own pace, and encouraged to walk alongside others in grace, compassion, and community.

- Worship at Christ First UMC is the highest low church around. We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday, sing hymns rooted in tradition, and gather with reverence and joy without putting on a show. You’ll find people dressed up, dressed down, and everything in between, because what matters most is showing up as you are. Our worship is Christ-centered, grace-filled, and open to all, creating space for everyone to encounter God, no matter their journey.

Kelly Marciales
Co-Pastor
Rev. Kelly Marciales serves as Co-Pastor of Christ First United Methodist Church and is a Deacon in The United Methodist Church. Kelly earned a Master of Theology and Mission from Fuller Theological Seminary (2020) and brings a background in community organizing and theological education, including teaching at Wartburg Theological Seminary and Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary. Living in Alaska since 2014, Kelly is passionate about faith that leads to justice, healing, and shared community life, and enjoys writing and travel.
