    The Rev. Canon David E. Pettengill has been a priest in the Diocese of Arizona since 1960. David has served as a full time priest in four parishes before retirement and has supplied in 20 since retirement the first of 1995. He loves people and Christ Church of the Ascension. His hobbies are hiking, photography and lapidary. He and his wife, Lois, have been married 57 years. Their son, David, is a tennis pro in Rochester, MN Today is the best day of our life. It is the only one we can do anything about. The Creator gives us the strength to do it.

    Fr. Daniel is a passionate preacher and teacher who fell in love with liturgy in college. That love of liturgy led him from a Southern Baptist childhood to ministry in the Episcopal Church. Daniel earned his Maters of Divinity from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in 2003 after serving at St. James Episcopal Church in San Francisco as a worship leader and intern and at the Diocese of California as Associate Coordinator of Young Adult Ministries and Church Development. His undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Worship from Grand Canyon University. Daniel reads voraciously, writes and trail runs.

    The Rev. Elizabeth “Beth” Blunt was raised in southwest Michigan. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Bowdoin College before moving to Breckenridge, Colorado, and then to Phoenix in 2004. Prior to pursuing her call to ordained ministry, she worked in hospitality management, nonprofit fundraising, and as professional baker. She received her Master’s of Divinity from Yale Divinity School in 2014 and served as intern and deacon at Christ Church, New Haven from 2012-2014. She lives in Downtown Phoenix with her black lab, Blue.
