Christ Church is a worshipping community that seeks to both announce and embody the story of Jesus that transforms not only lives, but ultimately all things.

While Christ Church is still quite new, it is not new in its beliefs and practices. Christ Church embraces the historic Christian faith expressed in the ecumenical creeds of the universal church - the Apostle's Creed and the Nicene Creed.

It is also affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church in North America, grounded in the theological heritage of the Protestant Reformation.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our services last about 75 minutes and reflect the historic four movements found in Christian worship services since the early church. Our services are designed to encourage the active participation of the whole congregation. You'll encounter prayer, singing (songs new, old, and ancient), readings from the Bible, a sermon centered on the Bible, and the Lord's Supper (aka, Communion, the Eucharist) each week. Our services are located in the sanctuary of Congregation Bet Haverim at 1715 Anderson Road in Davis, CA each week at 4 PM.

What is the community like?
Our church community is similar to the community of Davis - we have students, professors, young families, blue collar, white collar, kids, etc.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Whether you are familiar with church or not, we hope our worship services may be a safe place to explore the Christian faith from the inside. We fully expect everyone to bring with them their questions, doubts, and fears, as well as their joy, eagerness, faith and everything in between.
