About Us

Denver, Adventist, Sabbath, Advent, Bible, Prophecy, Health, Roy Weeden

Chapel Haven is a place of rest along life's journey. We welcome people to come and sit a spell and become refreshed physically and spiritually. As a Seventh-day Adventist congregation our ministry is to love people as Christ modeled 2,000 years ago. We are also rooted in a whole Bible context of understanding Scripture. Too often we build theology around a few verses instead of reading everything in context. We're waiting for Jesus to come and until He does, our work is to love and serve others. What to Expect

What are services like?
The Sabbath School programs are exciting for the young people and relevant for the adults. All are Bible-based. The worship service is a blend of the traditional with the contemporary because our focus is not on the music style but upon loving and reverently worshiping the Creator God. The pulpit messages are timely and appropriate for this generation. All the services are designed to equip member and guest alike for greater service.

What is the community like?
The church community loves to come together and encourage one another, especially through difficult times. They also practice Christ's mission of alleviating suffering. We have a vibrant school program (Grades K-10) through our exceptional day academy, Vista Ridge Academy. Several church members are always engaged in giving Bible studies so that people might accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We love to come together and eat and have many planned outdoor and indoor activities. The first Friday night of every month we have a youth-led program called CPR (Christ Provides Redemption). Start time is 7:30 PM.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We are not a judgmental congregation. It is our purpose to keep God's laws and follow the principles of His government. But we do this imperfectly and rely daily on God's grace for forgiveness of our sins. So, we do not see ourselves as better than any other member or guest. Our purpose for coming together is to encourage each other in the Word of God while we wait for the second coming of Jesus.
