    Jacqueline Decker Vanderpol

    Jacqueline joined Central’s staff in September 2006. A native of Boulder, Colorado, she holds a B.A. in Religion from Pepperdine University and a Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. Before coming to Central, Jacqueline served as Minister of Church Life at First Reformed Church of Holland, Michigan. She is a member of the Pastor’s Advisory Council of the Board of Pensions and the Mission and Ministry Work Group of Denver Presbytery and has served as Chair of the Committee on Preparation for Ministry of Denver Presbytery. Jacqueline’s favorite book is The Alchemist by Paulo Cohelo, her favorite musical is Rent, her favorite song is One Shot by Eminem, and her favorite sport to watch is golf. She is married to Nick, an Assistant Principal in Boulder, and they have three daughters, Norah, Etta and Julia, and two black Labs, Samson and Simon.

    Louise loves the Presbyterian Church. The daughter of a Presbyterian minister, she is a graduate of Presbyterian institutions: Sterling College (B.A.), Princeton Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity), and San Francisco Theological Seminary (Doctor of Ministry). She values the importance of developing a thinking faith, one that is grounded in the Bible and engaged with the issues, challenges, and popular culture of the present day. With her clergy sisters Sue and Mary, she authored a best-selling Bible study published by Presbyterian Women of the PC (USA) The Face Is Familiar: Remembering Unnamed Women in Scripture. She is also the author of another Bible study on peacemaking in the gospel of Mark. She is a member of the board of trustees of the Presbyterian Foundation and the Covenant Network of Presbyterians.
