About Us

A Fun Place to Get Serious About God

At Celebration, we just try to keep the main thing the main thing. And what is that? Jesus said it is loving the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and strength and our neighbor as ourselves. There is nothing new or innovative about this. It is as old as the gospel.

We have never tried to reinvent any wheels regarding how a church is called to love God and neighbor. Whatever terms one might use, every Bible-teaching church loves in the same ways: worship, witness, community, discipleship, and service. Everything we do should be an expression of these core commitments.

Of course, we approach our ministry with our own unique values and flavor. These include: an urban and global heart, diversity and ethnicity, honesty and informality, justice and mercy, depth and reflection, fun and humor.

Our mission statement is: we exist to create a life-giving, life-changing, missional, mentoring community for people in need of grace and truth.

What to Expect

What are services like?
We have two services on Sunday morning: 9 am in the Chapel (at the south end of the sidewalk) is a service incorporating some traditional elements into the service, like liturgical readings and weekly communion, while sharing the same music, sermon, and community as the later service. 10.45 am in the Hall (in the middle of the sidewalk, after the wing of classrooms) is a spontaneous and energetic service, known for "open-mics" where we invite people to share a bit about their life with the community. In both services, you can enjoy coffee, tea, and refreshments. What is the preaching/teaching like? Conversational, solid, heartfelt Bible teaching...we try to apply the truths of Scripture to the realities of life What kind of worship will there be? Our aim is to create an environment for celebration, adoration, and surrender to God. The worship band blends contemporary worship and traditional hymns to create such an environment. What should I wear? We’re pretty casual, and want you to feel at home, so dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable!

What is the community like?
"For when we ask whether someone is a good man, we are not asking what he believes, or hopes, but what he loves." - St Augustine At Celebration, it is more important to us that we love God and our neighbor than that we possess the perfect set of doctrinal beliefs. Nevertheless, beliefs matter. Theology matters. For when we believe lies, we are sure to love poorly. Of course, we approach our ministry with our own unique values and flavor. These include: an urban and global heart, diversity and ethnicity, honesty and informality, justice and mercy, depth and reflection, fun and humor. Our mission statement is: we exist to create a life-giving, life-changing, missional, mentoring community for people in need of grace.

What if I'm not a Christian?
All our welcome. Come as you are. We'd love to meet you and share life with you!
