About Us

Traditional and Contemporary, Conservative Christian Church

Carmichaels Methodist Church is a medium sized church that offers both traditional and contemporary services. We are a Conservative Christian Church that believes the Bible, while written by men, is God inspired and the inherent Word of God. Everyone is welcome to worship with us!

2 Timothy 3:16-17, New International Version: All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Founded
Reverend Thomas M. Hudson, one of the three circuit riders on the Greenfield Circuit, organized the Carmichaels Methodist Church in 1824. Prior to 1833, the congregation met in the old Greene Academy and that same year, the Church building was erected. In 1877 under the leadership of Reverend Joseph Jackson Hays a brick church was erected.

What to Expect

What are services like?
First Service (08:30AM) is a more traditional worship experience. There are traditional hymns played with a piano, and a structured flow to the service. Second Service (11:00AM) is a more contemporary worship experience. There is a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs played with a praise band - the service is more dynamic. The Second Service is also live streamed to Facebook. There is one pastor for both First and Second Service, and both services are controlled by the Holy Spirit and receive the same sermon. We also offer Sunday School Classes (09:45AM) between worship services for all ages.

What is the community like?
Our church family is very loving and giving to each other as well as those in our community and abroad. There are several outreach ministries our church provides to our local community such as the Food Bank and ACTS Thrift Store. We are also partnered with outreach ministries and conduct mission trips in Guatemala. We want everyone in our community and around the world to know the love of Jesus Christ and the wonderful gift of Eternal Life.
