About Us
It is the mission of Calvary Chapel and the Church of the Transfiguration to witness to Jesus Christ in worship, study, fellowship and care for our community and world.
The Episcopal Churches on the Mountain are home to Calvary Chapel, located at 13318 Mentzer Gap Road, Beartown/Waynesboro, PA and the Church of the Transfiguration located at 13646 Summit Ave, Blue Ridge Summit PA
Please join us for either service Sunday morning.
Calvary Chapel celebrates Holy Eucharist at 9:00am (Sunday School meets at the same time on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Sundays. Our youth lead Eucharist on the 4th Sunday of each month.)
The Church of the Transfiguration celebrates Holy Eucharist at 10:30am.

Tucked in 'Beartown", right off the Appalachian Trail, our parishoners come from Chambersburg, Gettysburg, Hanover, Carlisle, Blue Ridge Summit and Waynesboro, We are blessed with a small but mighty congregation and feel so fortunate to worship with our Rector the Rev. Canon John McDowell.
