Who We Are

We invite you to experience the warmth and friendship of our church family as we seek to love God with all that we are and love our neighbors as ourselves.

Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ through fellowship, praise, prayer, and the application of God's Word to everyday life.

We want to live in such a way that others are able to recognize us as followers of Jesus because of our love for others.

Leadership

Joel Mitchell
Pastor

Pastor Joel has been serving at Calvary Baptist Church since May, 2015. He is a graduate of Faith Baptist Bible College (B.A. in 2003) and Summit University (M.Div. in 2010). At Bible college he met his wife, Karen. They have been happily married since July, 2002, and have three wonderful children. Pastor Joel’s prior ministry experience includes pastoring a small church in Pennsylvania, and growing up on the mission field of Brazil. He is passionate about accurately teaching the Word of God – explaining what it means in its original context and showing how it applies to daily life. His goal is to lead by word and example in fulfilling the two greatest commandments: love God with all that you are & love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:35-40).
