Leadership
Joel Mitchell
Pastor
Pastor Joel has been serving at Calvary Baptist Church since May, 2015. He is a graduate of Faith Baptist Bible College (B.A. in 2003) and Summit University (M.Div. in 2010). At Bible college he met his wife, Karen. They have been happily married since July, 2002, and have three wonderful children.
Pastor Joel’s prior ministry experience includes pastoring a small church in Pennsylvania, and growing up on the mission field of Brazil. He is passionate about accurately teaching the Word of God – explaining what it means in its original context and showing how it applies to daily life. His goal is to lead by word and example in fulfilling the two greatest commandments: love God with all that you are & love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:35-40).
