Who We Are

A rural community church with a focus on the Word of God. Our services include hymns with an occasional praise chorus, a performing choir, a children's message and a nursery, and a loose liturgical style that follows the church calendar. We have a beautiful sanctuary and we average 60-85 each week.

What are services like?
We have 1 service that is traditional but with contemporary relevance.

What is the community like?
The church community is a majority of retired people and their families so there are multiple generations present during worship. The church community is also invested in the local community in many different areas.

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you are not a Christian you are welcome at Burton Congregational Church. Pastor Jay is very open to questions and discussion of the sermon following the service.

Jay Carroll

Pastor Jay Carroll has been a Cleveland Ohioan his entire life. He grew up in Brunswick Ohio and in Sharon Center Ohio and graduated from Highland High School in Medina. He was a 2002 graduate from Grove City College (Pa.) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Thought. He spent a few years trying out different professions until he received his calling into ministry. He then graduated from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2010 with his Master of Divinity. While attending Ashland Pastor Jay was the Associate Minister of Youth and Young Families at Richfield UCC. He has only been at Burton Congregational Church since August of 2012 but has a good vision for our future.
