What are services like?
You can expect a friendly church where you will be welcomed warmly and sincerely. You can expect a non-judgmental atmosphere where you are accepted as you are, regardless of your past. You can expect worship that is simple and biblical with a focus on heartfelt praise of God. You can expect a positive, healthy spirit that creates a climate in which spiritual growth and nurturing can occur. You can expect a fellowship where everyone matters and is encouraged to grow in Christ. You can expect to meet a group of believers who strive to be Christians only. You can expect to be loved as you have never been loved before!

What is the community like?
What kind of people make up the body of Christ here at Brooks Ave.? Pretty much the entire spectrum, as in any group. We’re a diverse group of people who are just Christ followers. We are married, divorced, remarried, widowed, single parents or just single. We are young, old, and in between; some of us are very traditional while others are not. We love to worship with our minds and hearts centered on Christ our brother and God our Father. The Spirit enraptures some of us more and gives a quiet peace to others. You will find people of various races from all over America and the world. You get the picture. We’re a diverse group, coming from varied backgrounds and at different stages of knowledge and spiritual growth. We don’t know everything. We don’t do everything right. We haven’t arrived—we’re just on the journey...together. Despite our differences—culturally and spiritually—we were not brought together by any illusion of our perfection or righteousness. We were brought together by our recognition that we are sinners in need of the cleansing blood of Jesus (Mark 2:17; Romans 5:6-9; Ephesians 1:7; I John 1:7). That’s the reason we can worship together, stick together, be a family and, with God’s help, accomplish some things that make a difference in our community and our world. We aren’t perfect, but, bottom line, you will find people who love Jesus and honor the Scriptures. At Brooks Avenue Church if Christ there’s a place for you!

What if I'm not a Christian?
