Brook Hollow Christian is a neighborhood church in the southside of Abilene. Begun in 1959, we have enjoyed ministry to this community through worship, fellowship, and service to the entire Abilene area.
We are a family church, our membership including members of at least five (5) generations.
Included on our staff are the Sr. Minister, a Youth Minister and Minister of Music.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our worship style is blended, striving to include music from a wide spectrum of age, style and energy. Our liturgy is traditional, with primary focus on scripture, proclamation and communion. Central in all Disciple of Christ worship is celebration of the Lord's Supper each Sunday, open to all believers. Baptism is believers baptism by immersion.

What is the community like?
We cover at least 5 generations, including members who have been here since the church's charter, and those who have joined within the last year. We have been blessed in the last few years with a vital children's and youth program, due to an influx of foster families into our congregation. This has been a genuine addition to the ministry and vitality of our congregation. Our neighborhood is a suburban one - somewhat in transition as Abilene has moved further to the south.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are always welcome. The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) has always been a church accepting of those from all backgrounds. We would be honored to journey with you in your spiritual life. We do hold as our prime belief the "Good Confession" of faith - that Jesus is the Christ and the Son of God." We also believe, however, that it is a confession that is always in development. We would welcome all at any level of that development.
