Alberta Jones
Senior Pastor
The Rev. Alberta Jones began serving in June 2015 as the new pastor of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 330 W. Windsor St.
She is retired from the United States Department of Defense where she served as a supervisor in the Office of Acquisitions and Logistics. She is also a former school teacher for the Philadelphia School District.
She has a bachelor’s degree in history and education from Delaware State University. She has a master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University and holds a certificate in proficiency in computer information systems from Holy Family College in Newtown, Bucks County.
She received a Master of Divinity degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia.
She has served on the Philadelphia Board of Trustees for the AME Church and the Board of Examiners for AME.
It’s been 8 years that she has pastored at Bethel AME Reading Pa.
