About Us

No matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here!

We are a multi-generational community that loves well! We enjoy sharing: part of our six and a half acre site has become farmland for the Somali-Bantu community; our building is shared with the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost Church of God in Christ as well as with community groups like Alanon; we collect things for others, such as school supplies for children at Uspiritus and supplies for Church World Service Clean Up Kits. If you are looking for a community where strangers become friends and where "everybody knows your name," come home to Bethany!

What to Expect

What are services like?
Worship is informal; sermons are given in a variety of styles: drama, conversational, traditional, etc.; Communion is offered at least once a month, depending on the season; a variety of music in a variety of styles; lots of singing, but no auditions!

What is the community like?
Friendly folk! "Passing the peace" takes a good 10 minutes so that everyone has a chance to greet everyone else. The whole church sings along with the songs we do in the "time for the young at heart." All generations worship together, though there is a nursery available for younger children if desired.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are welcome! We are all in different places on our journeys, and we welcome you - no matter what!
