Was on Bales Ave. about 4 blocks from Myrtle St....my folks would make my sister lead me to church on Sundays for Sunday school (1966-1970?)... I was saved in Sunday School in 1967 but my folks thought I was too young to be baptised, the Church dedicated a bible to me with date Sept. 24th, 1967 ( still have it). I played basketball, and baseball through the church youth center across the street on 12th. A young man named Dave Temple headed up the basketball...if he is still around i'd like to facebook him. This Church is and always has been a cornerstone inmy life memories. The people wonderful...
I recieved my first trophy at a sports banquet there ( sportsmanship) given by KC Chief Jerry May, football player . mid 60's.
I attended the church and sang in the choir, years 1956-1961. shared their experience Aug 2021
I loved the minister and the choir.
