We are a church located in the rural township of Arcade, NY which is approximately 45 minutes south of Buffalo, NY. Our congregation can range from 45 - 80 on any given Sunday morning.
The Church of The Nazarene is a denomination which believe that we can live holy lives by the power given to us by God's Holy Spirit. We believe, preach and teach the Bible as the Word of God Himself. We also believe that anyone can find eternal life by trusting completely in Jesus and turning away from a life of disobeying God.
At Crossroads you will find a group of people who love Jesus and who love one another and are growing in spiritual maturity as we faithfully follow the instructions given to us by God in the Bible.
All are welcome to join us on our journey through life. We don't have to make that journey alone, and, we certainly cannot make it without Jesus by our side. He is our strength and our salvation.

Our Services

Sunday

09:45am: Sunday school with classes for toddlers, youth, teens and adults.
11:00am: Sunday Morning Worship service
06:00pm: Sunday evening hymn sing and Bible study

Wednesday

06:30pm: This is a time of gathering for a family type dinner, Bible study and prayer. Usually until around 8:30 PM.

Friday

06:00pm: Gathering of Young Teens at a home of a couple from the church. Ages from 10 - 15.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our church services follow a fairly traditional format; time of greeting, opening song, exalting the Lord in prayer, (Kid's Story once a month), offering, Scripture reading (often in a responsive format), three or four songs (hymns and contemporary choruses), pastoral prayer time, the children are released to "God's Big Picture", sermon, invitation to pray if appropriate, and, the Lord's Supper (Communion) on the first Sunday of each month. That is the general flow but we change it up occasionally!

What is the community like?
While our average attendance in 2012 has been about 65 on a Sunday morning we have about 90 in total who will attend from time to time. Of these roughly 25% are over 60, 40% are between the age of 30-59 and the rest are children, teens and young adults. On any given Sunday we can have between 2 and 15 children under 10 years of age in the service. There is a lot of energy in the church; usually we need to turn up the mics a little bit to get everyone's attention in order to start the service. We love it!

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you are someone who is seeking to find out what Christianity is all about and what it means to you for life here and now as well as for eternity you are welcome to join us. It doesn't matter what's in your past, Jesus can forgive and heal you and enable you to live a faithful life committed to Christ. He has done it for many of us and we live with thankful hearts every day!
