The Rev. Chris Parrish was born in South Africa, and ordained deacon in the Diocese of Grahamstown in the Anglican Church of Southern Africa in 1984, and priest in 1985. He served as Rector of various parishes in the Diocese of Grahamstown for nine years before he and his wife, Bridgitte, and two sons, Peter and Paul, came to California at the end of 1996. After a brief period as a supply priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles from 2004 to 2007, he was received as a Presbyter in the Diocese of Mid-America of the Reformed Episcopal Church at the end of July 2007. In 2007 he served as a supply priest for REC parishes, including St. Luke’s Parish, Santa Ana, CA, where, under the direction of the Rev. Dr. Robert Bowman, he taught on The Thirty-Nine Articles for most of 2008. Before coming to All Saints’ Church, he served as a part-time assisting priest at St. James’ Anglican Church (Anglican Church of Uganda) in Newport Beach, California, for the duration of 2008. He has served as Rector of All Saints' Church, Shreveport, from January 1, 2009.
