About Us

About Us

If you would like to read more about our beliefs and practices, check out our denominational website www.wels.net.

We are members of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). This church body got its name because it was formed in Wisconsin in the 1850′s. Our membership in this Synod unites us with Christians across our country and the world. It allows us to pool our resources for mission work as well as for writing hymnals, Bible classes, and other materials.

What to Expect

What are services like?
We are a mission congregation that currently rotates our services in member's homes. We are looking to start renting a place for worship and hopefully, God willing, in the near future to purchase land for our own building for worship. Our services right now are Bible Study based with a moment for a devotional service following the Bible Class.

What is the community like?
We are a Bible-based church that endeavors to let the Word of God instruct and guide us in all matters of faith and life.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are invited to a class designed to offer a non-threatening atmosphere for people to discover more about God and the Bible, and to become acquainted with what we teach and believe at Adonai Ev. Lutheran Church. It is intended to answer any and all questions you always wanted to ask, like: “How did we get the Bible, and can we trust it?” “Do I really have a guardian angel?” “What’s the difference between denominations?” “Why does God allow bad things to happen?” “How can I really be optimistic about Judgment Day?” The class, taught by the pastor, prepares any participant for membership, but being in the class doesn’t obligate you to become a member. We want you to feel free to question and explore, so we allow plenty of time for questions and discussion. Bibles and class materials are gladly provided. Class is casual and fun! Class days and times tend to fit the needs of our participants, so check with the church office. Each class normally lasts 90-minutes. The course is called “Growing in Hope” and classes continue for eighteen weeks, and we will gladly meet for “make up” work with those who must miss a class or two of the series. Drop us an e-mail at [email protected] or just call 406-635-2180 to arrange to meet with Pastor Hanneman and discuss taking the class. Come join us we want you to come, and you will be glad you did. Blessings, Pastor Jacob Hanneman
