Who We Are

Unique, Trusting God, Loving neighbors, Following Jesus

We are a church, but we are not very structured. Rather, our little congregation is a place where Baptists, Catholics, Lutherans, Anglicans, Nazarenes, Methodists, and those who don’t know what to call themselves come together, not in some interdenominational goulash, or in protest against institutionalism. We come together recognizing that there is no hope in organized religion, there is only hope in Christ.

Join us on the journey.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Extremely casual, lively and loving. We have a great band, and a dynamic pastor whose sermons are Gospel-based and the message is always one of trusting God, loving your neighbor, and following Jesus. We don't have rules, and there is no order of service.

What is the community like?
Extremely friendly(and they mean it!), loving, and welcoming. You can't be a stranger for long!

What if I'm not a Christian?
A Simple Faith is welcoming to anyone of any religious denomination...many of us are ragamuffins, broken, burned out on instutionalized religion and have fallen away from our churches. Come have a look!

Ronnie McBrayer

Ronnie McBrayer

Ronnie McBrayer was born and raised in the foothills of the North Georgia Appalachians and claims he barely survived the fire-and-brimstone instruction of his hard shell Baptist-reared childhood. But in the great comedy of God, Ronnie has spent his adulthood in Christian ministry, preaching in and protesting against; loving and leaving; running away from and returning to the church. The faith he is trying to keep isn’t in organized religion, however. It is in Jesus. Ronnie has been a pastor, chaplain, leader in social justice ministries, and a writer. He holds degrees in Christian Education and Theology, with post-graduate studies in Bio-Ethics and Critical Incident Stress Management. His post-Katrina relief work with Habitat for Humanity was featured by the CBS Evening News and the New York Times. McBrayer’s weekly newspaper column, “Keeping the Faith,” began as a devotional article for his local newspaper. It is now nationally syndicated in more than one hundred outlets with a circulation of more than six million readers. Ronnie McBrayer leads "A Simple Faith Church" in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and is the author of multiple books and publications. His most recent book is “The Gospel According to Waffle House.” For more information visit www.ronniemcbrayer.me.
