  • Julian and Sylvia Falcon

    Julian and Sylvia Falcon
    Associate Pastors

    Associate Pastors Julian and Sylvia Falcon first visited Word of Life in October 1995 and knew they were right where the Lord called them to be. After serving the church in various volunteer capacities, Julian was called into full-time ministry in October of 2007. He is now an ordained Assembly of God minister and has served as Word of Life's Associate Pastor since August 2009. Sylvia holds an Assembly of God Certificate of Ministry as well as an A.A.S. in Business from Howard College.

    Eric and Anita Kuehner
    Youth Pastors

    Youth Pastors, Eric and Anita Kuehner were married December 6th of 1991. Eric and Anita have served in several rolls of ministry for the past 21 years. They have been in full time ministry for the last 16 years, serving as both Children's and Youth Pastors. Their goal is to build relationships with students in order to reach them for Christ. They strive to disciple students through the Word so that they may, in turn, reach others. "We hope to inspire students to become involved in ministry through evangelism, serving, and discipleship." - Pastor Eric Kuehner

    Children's Ministry Coordinators

    Our Children's Coordinators, John and Michelle Nichols, have been married since 1999. John and Michelle both were brought up in San Angelo and attended Lake View High School. Separately and together they have been serving children through ministry for over 15 years. Michelle teaches the Kid's Church service for ages 6-11 regularly on Sunday mornings while John runs the Kid's Church service sound and lights. Together, they disciple a ministry team of youth that ministers through skits, prayer, and worship.

    Secretary Becky Hamlin first visited Word of Life in 1987 and her life was never the same after that first service. Her and her entire family were radically saved and began to get involved in many different ministries including children's ministry, women's ministry, choir and many others. Five years after joining the church, the opportunity to become Secretary/Treasurer became available and she knew immediately that this was her calling to God and to Word of Life. She has currently held this position for 20 years and is looking forward to many years to come.

  • Chira Oravetz

    Secretary Chira Oravetz first started attending Word of Life in 1997. She started working in the church office in 2001 as Secretary. Chira and her family came to see the annual Easter Cantata and decided they wanted to join the church family. Chira has worked with children through Missionettes and Children's Church for many years and continues to minister to children every time the opportunity arises. She also has a heart for the "Food Pantry" ministry and has since her days at Christ for the Nations where she first began that ministry.

  • David and Gaynell Smith

    David and Gaynell Smith
    Lead Pastors

    Pastor David Smith is a native Californian who from a young age gave his heart to Christ and felt a call to ministry. At age 20, he enlisted in the Air Force, where he later served 18 months in the Philippines. From there, he was transferred to Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo where he met Gaynell, a native San Angeloan. They were married and began an exciting life of ministry together. After serving various ministry roles, David and Gaynell felt God leading them to plant a new church in San Angelo, thus Word of Life was born. Thirty years later and they are still leading the fellowship they started with the same energy and enthusiasm they had at the beginning, with no sign of slowing down.
