Chandler Stokes

Chandler is Westminster’s senior pastor, primary preacher, and head of staff. Chandler loves preaching, the experience of leading worship, and the privilege of being part of people’s lives at both their highest and lowest points. As the head of Session, the ruling body of the church, he encourages a community of spiritually-rich lay leadership. Chandler came to Westminster from California. Born in the east and raised in the west, with a short stint in Germany as a teenager, most of his education was in the University of California system, where he studied calculus, physics, philosophy and religion—graduating in the last. In the midst of off-and-on schooling, he worked as a singer-songwriter, mostly in Colorado. Karen, his life-partner of 33 years, is a Presbyterian minister, musician, and mother of their two sons: Jeremy, who is married to Jesse and lives in Grand Rapids; and Dusty, a physicist who lives and works in Philadelphia and Boston.
