Pastor Julie Smith- was ordained in 2010 as an Elder in the Illinois Great Rivers Conference of The United Methodist Church. Pastor Julie was appointed to Wesley in 2013 having previously served 5 churches in Southern Illinois. She has been married to Joe Schripsema for 25 years. They have two daughters, Frankie Ann and Lyndsay Joe. Pastor Julie has a passion for the LORD that is expressed in Bible based sermons and a desire for gospel justice of grace throughout God’s Kingdom. Her vision for Wesley is to strengthen those already in the community of Wesley UMC and to equip servants leaders to go into the community as disciples to reach out to the larger communities of Bradley, Kankakee and Bourbonnais to make disciples for Jesus the Christ.
