Trinity Cathedral - Benevolence Fund

As the Cathedral church for the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona, Trinity Cathedral plays a vital role in the heart and life of Phoenix. The Cathedral seeks to be a place where all people can encounter the living God, the reconciling Gospel of Jesus Christ and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit.

The challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic have upended life as we know it with businesses shattered, the loss of jobs and reduction in benefits. While we wait for a vaccine and effective treatments, there are those in the Trinity family who have fallen on difficult times financially. Trinity Cathedral’s Benevolence Fund was established in the spring of 2020 to assist any parishioner with financial support in these unprecedented times.

Grantees have been helped with funds for food, rent, utilities, health care, transportation and burial expenses. There is an application process and Dean Troy Mendez leads a small group that confidentially considers each request from this restricted fund.
