The Journey Church

Loving God...Loving Each Other...Serving the World

Sun 9:00am Southern Baptist Newcomers welcome Brandon, FL

About Us

At Journey we put a priority on loving God. Our Sunday worship services are a major emphasis as we get together every week to study and worship. Our style is contemporary and our teaching is mostly expository.

We put a priority on people. We emphasize that we are a community of faith and try and live that way, too. That means caring for people when they go through tough times as well as celebrating in the good times.

At Journey, we also emphasize loving those outside of our fellowship so we support missions and ministries, both local and international. We also work in our local mission field reaching out to those who are right around us...providing ministry and activities with sharing Jesus as the goal.

Our Services

Service Times

We share facilities with another church - so we take the early meeting time.

What to Expect

What are services like?
The services are between 75-90 minutes. There is about 20-30 minutes of music and interaction. There will be some time in ministry depending on what is going on in people's lives. The message is typically topical exegesis. We spend 40 minutes or so really digging in each week. The focus of the message will not be information but application - "how can I more live like Jesus because of what we just talked about?"

What is the community like?
There is a friendly vibe in Journey. The people naturally welcome newcomers while caring for those who are a part of the community of faith called The Journey.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Journey is a safe place to check out the claims of Christ for your life. We have a number of people who are not saved who are 'kicking the tires' and exploring the things we are talking about. No one will coerce you into a decision. We just know Jesus changed our life and want you to experience that, too.

Follows the Gospel to a tee. Pastor Dan is so Blessed. Love You Brother. I am still doing IVs 4 times a day. Hopefully it will all end at the end of May. Then I get tested again. That will take 2 weeks.
