Mike Wernick

Fr. Mike grew up in a Reform Jewish home, and converted to Christianity twenty-one years ago. He studied meditation and centering prayer, and earned a B.A in Religion from the University of Florida in 1977. He worked for more than twenty years in the non-profit field, in the areas of fundraising, desktop publishing, communications, and marketing. Fr. Mike discerned a second career call while in the Diocese of Southern Ohio, and attended Bexley Hall Seminary in Columbus, Ohio (which is partnered with Trinity Lutheran Seminary), and was ordained into the priesthood of The Episcopal Church in June 2010. Prior to being called to Holy Cross Episcopal Church (and Ascension Lutheran Church), Fr. Mike served for four months as an extended supply as Priest-in-Charge at Church of the Redeemer in Pittsburgh, PA and as Assisting Priest at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Columbus, Ohio.
