    The Rev. Jay Augustine, JD, MDiv.

    The Rev. Jonathan C. Augustine was appointed senior pastor of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church (AMEC) of New Orleans in November 2013. He previously served as pastor of St. James AMEC in Hammond and Associate Minister of Greater Turner Chapel AMEC in Greensburg. Rev. Augustine previously served in elected office as Vice President of the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board and in appointed office as executive counsel & director of legislative affairs at the Louisiana Workforce Commission. Rev. Augustine earned a BA from Howard Universiry, along with a commission as an infantry officer in the US Army. After decorated military service, he earned his JD from Tulane University and later earned his MDiv from United Theological Seminary.

Rev. Augustine earned a BA in economics from Howard Universiry, along with an active duty commission as an infantry officer in the US Army. After decorated military service, he earned his JD from Tulane University and served as a law clerk at the Louisiana Supreme Court. Rev. Augustine later earned his MDiv from United Theological Seminary.
