  • Kenny Benge

Kenny Benge serves as rector of St. John’s Anglican Church. Kenny and his wife, Laura, are both originally from Oklahoma, but their family has lived in Franklin since 1995. Kenny graduated in 1980 from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and worked in the petroleum industry before entering vocational ministry. In 1995, he finished his Master of Divinity at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, with a concentration in Church History. He was ordained as an Anglican priest in November of 2008. C.S. Lewis, Francis Schaeffer, and Eugene Peterson are formative influences in his spiritual and vocational development. He loves being in the outdoors, is an avid “birder”, loves golf, and is a compulsive reader (some of his favorite authors: Wallace Stegner, Flannery O’Connor, Annie Dillard, Wendell Berry, P.D. James, and Kent Haruf).
