    John LaMunyon

John has served as the Lead Pastor of Sammamish Hills since 2002. From his first days as a youth and music director on the Olympic Peninsula to today, it has been his delight in life to encourage others to make connections between deepening their life in Christ and service to the world around us. A native of the Northwest, his undergraduate degree in Music is from Western Washington University, as well as a Master of Divinity degree and “Distinguished Ministry as a Parish Pastor” award from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, CA. Along the way he has been a founding member of the Rural Ministry Network, Outreach Ministry to Neighborhood Youth, 3 Dimensional Ministries Network, and several others. At the current time he serves as a coach and huddle leader for other pastors seeking to deepen their missional identity. Together John and Cheri are the parents of Josh, Sharon, Andrea, and Dana. A certified Paddlesports Coach with the British Canoe Union, John’s personal pursuits include almost anything involving water and a paddle, woodworking, gardening, baking, hiking, backpacking, and fly fishing.
